It has always struck me that there are lots of computer games aimed at boys but not so many for girls. I suppose some girls play the boyish games but no boys would play girly games and so I expect that goes partly to explaining it. I was really pleased recently when I noticed some free cooking games which I thought would be lovely for girls. Not that there is anything wrong with boys cooking and it is of course important for them to both learn to cook. But it is nice to see that there are cooking games that girls can enjoy and that will also teach them some useful skills. There are other great girls games as well such as fun waitress games and other things. It is a great way to keep girls entertained and happy and learning how to use a computer as well as some useful skills. Take a look and see whether you agree.

I used to find that whenever anyone said the word holiday I would just think of a beach holiday. When I was a child, we always used to go on beach holidays and I really enjoyed them. I still think that there is nothing more relaxing than hearing the sea. However, now I am older nd choosing my own holidays I have started doing many different things, so much so that my idea of a holiday tends to be an opportunity to learn new things rather than a relaxing experience. My last vacation was spent mostly in a mig 31 cockpit! I was on a course learning how to fly a MiG – even have fly mig pics to prove it as many people did not believe that is what I actually did! It was a fantastic learning opportunity, the flight training device was spectacular and the opportunity to fly in a MiG was one that couldn’t be missed for anything.

Some people take their children abroad on holiday when they are very young – some are even still babies. I have three year old boys and I do not think it is worth traveling abroad with them yet. I think it is a waste of money paying for their airfare as they will not remember the holiday. Also they are happy going to a zoo, swimming or the beach so we do that with them instead without going abroad. They like their own beds at home so we can just travel for a day and get them home the same day.

It seems to be the time of the year when people start to plan their summer holidays. I guess that with the weather being so cold and the fun of the Christmas holidays over with, people want to start thinking about having more fun and better still having it in a hot place. I tend to wait a bit longer before planning mine, as I am never quite sure what I want to do and if I booked it up too far in advance I might end up changing my mind before I went! I think I will wait until a few months before I am planning on going before I start looking around.

When my parents were young, a majority of people from the UK did not leave the country for their holidays. They would risk the weather and usually head down south to have some fun at the seaside. As I grew up, most people started to take holidays abroad because they wanted to guarantee some good weather when they were on holiday. Also, of course, they want to see some different places. However, in recent years there has been a trend for people to holiday in the UK again. I think they have decided that they need to save money and also we have been having some hotter weather at times.
